What sort of things do people talk about?
- Anything. It's up to you. Relationships is number one of the list of things people talk about at off The Record. Other problems often focus on anxiety, depression, loneliness, abuse, addictive behaviours, confusion over sexuality ... or just feeling things could be better.
What do people ask for information about?
- Anything. This can range from bullying, sexual health or gay issues; drugs, drink or eating problems; to money, housing, or benefits. Whatever you choose and whatever you want to know about.
Is Off The Record really confidential?
- Yes. As its name implies, everything is 'Off The Record' and confidential - we don't keep files, information or records about you. You only tell us what you want us to know, so you remain in control.
Does Off The Record have a complaints procedure?
- Yes. If you have any concerns or cause to complain, please contact us through our Complaints Procedure. Your comments and experience of using our service are very important to us and we will take appropriate action to any complaint we receive.
Where does counselling take place?
- All counselling takes place at one of Off The Record's bases and you and your counsellor will meet together, in private, in a small counselling room. Clients see the same counsellor however long they visit.
